Dr. Anne Hames is the Senior Chaplain of the University. Dr. Hames graduated from Bethel in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion. She earned a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctorate of Ministry degree from the Memphis Theological Seminary. Dr. Hames also teaches religion classes on campus.
For many years, Dr. Hames has curated an inspirational collection depicting Bethel through multiple forms of art. These works can be enjoyed in the library and throughout campus.
Rev. Garrett Burns is the Associate Chaplain of the University.
Rev. Burns graduated from Bethel in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and Christian ministry. He earned a Master of Divinity degree from the Memphis Theological Seminary, is an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and has pastored several churches, and is currently a reservist chaplain in the U.S. Navy.
